Like many, during lockdown I was unable to meet friends and family. I found it hard to motivate myself at work and at rest – my life became much smaller and self-contained.
Now life is opening up slowly and I was mulling over how to I had stayed in touch with friends and family and the small presents I had sent out. As a result, I have come up with the idea of present boxes which people can order from me, with a personalised message. I then send the present direct to the recipient. It is a way of sending a bit of love to those you care about.
I have worked really hard to find talented Devon makers to include their products in the boxes. My first box will be a pamper box and will include a beautifully made make-up bag by Elaine of Three Gens as well as a soap, bath salt sachet and luxurious face cloth.
I have also worked with young designer Lucie Jones – @luciejemima – who has just graduated from Falmouth University with a degree in Illustration. Whilst still a student, Lucie designed my logo and packaging and now she is helping me take the business forward. Lucie has designed a colourful contemporary wrap for the present boxes and two complementary postcards. I am really excited about this new venture.
They will soon be available on the website.
