I did my first market in nearly two years at the weekend. I was invited by a wonderful team of women from Exminster, a village very near to Exeter. COVID-19 had stopped everything for so long and I was rather nervous about selling in public again. But I needn’t have worried. It was a really friendly event in a great little village. We had people coming in throughout the 3 hours the market was open. The customers had to queue at times for 25 minutes due to COVID-19 safety rules but they were all so lovely and patient.
I was situated between a chocolate stall and one selling organic vegetables – two of my favourite things, so I felt very happy. People were really interested in my soaps, bath salts and facial oils and it was lovely to talk to people about my products and what I enjoy making. I’ll be at the market again on 13th November and I can’t wait.
